The Volkswagen Passenger Car brand of the Volkswagen Group is gradually suspending production at its European plants for two weeks in response to the accelerated infection by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) virus, which has adversely affected supply chain and impacted vehicle demand in the region, the company said in a press release on 17 March.
