Italy, UK, US are reaching out to automakers and suppliers to help ramp up ventilator output

Automotive industry is coming together to help medical equipment suppliers to ramp up production of medical ventilators to fight novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Reuters reported last week. Last week GM partnered with Ventec Life Systems to increase production of its ventilators. The US-based ventilator supplier will leverage GM’s logistics, purchasing and manufacturing prowess to ramp up ventilator output to fight COVID-19 outbreak.
