COVID-19 pandemic: Giti Tire to halt production at US plant for two weeks

Plant to remain close until 19 April

Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. is suspending production for two weeks at its plant in Richburg in South Carolina due to the  impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The suspension will start 5 April and will go on for two weeks, according to a report by Tire Business on 1 April. The decision will affect nearly 800 workers at the plant, which makes passenger and light truck tires.
