The plant will remain closed from 20 April to 4 May

Sumitomo Rubber USA L.L.C. is suspending production at its Tonawanda tire plant in New York. US, for approximately two weeks starting 20 April due to the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, according to a report by Tire Business on 13 April citing to a letter to factory employees posted by United Steelworkers Local 135, which represents workers there.
