Aichi Prefecture’s governor plans to offer JPY400 billion (USD3.72 billion) in emergency loans for struggling small and midsize companies, including automotive suppliers to Toyota

Hideaki Ohmura, the governor of Japan’s Aichi Prefecture announced plans to offer JPY400 billion (USD3.72 billion) in emergency loans for struggling small and mid-size companies, Reuters reported on 23 April. The emergency loan is expected to help several suppliers of Toyota Motor who are under pressure due to significant production adjustment by the automaker at its several domestic plants amid novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
