The collaboration will leverage Kardome’s generic speech recognition and noise reduction technology to solve the frequent issue of speech recognition in the car

Kardome has entered an agreement with Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi’s (RNM's) Innovation Lab in Tel Aviv, Israel, to evaluate Kardome’s smart audio solutions for automotive applications, the Israeli startup said in a press release on 2 June. The collaboration will leverage Kardome’s generic speech recognition and noise reduction technology to solve the frequent issue of speech recognition in the car. “The state-of-the-art beamforming solutions, that estimate signal's direction, require multiple units to be installed to capture high quality sound of the front and rear passengers. With Kardome, we hope that a single unit would provide better performance,” said Antoine Basseville, director of Alliance Innovation Lab in Israel.
