New Lexus IS features Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 as standard
Vehicle features precollision system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, lane tracing assist, intelligent high beam, road sign assist, blind spot detection, and rear cross traffic alert
The new 2021 Lexus IS luxury sports sedan comes equipped with enhanced Lexus Safety System + 2.5 (LSS+2.5) suite of active safety and driver assistance technologies as standard across trims, according to a press release in mid-June. The LSS+2.5 suit features precollision system (PCS), which includes frontal collision warning (FCW), automatic emergency breaking (AEB), pedestrian detection, and bicyclist detection. PCS functions also include emergency steering assist that is designed to assist steering within the vehicle’s lane as cued by the driver.
