POLICY: Indian state Karnataka removes registration fee, stamp duty for EVs
Decision is in line with the Karnataka Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage Policy
The Cabinet of India’s Karnataka State Government on 25 June decided to completely waive stamp duty and registration charges for the manufacture and sale of EVs in a bid to push EV adoption in the state, according to a report by Deccan Herald.
