Honda has also acquired approximately 1% of CATL shares through a non-public issuance of stocks

Honda and Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) have signed an agreement to form a strategic alliance for joint development of batteries for new energy vehicles (NEVs) and joint research and development (R&D) into next-generation fundamental technologies, Honda announced in a press release on 10 July.
