All new cars and passenger trucks sold in California should be ZEVs by 2035, according to an executive order signed by the state governor

California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed an executive order requiring sales of all new passenger vehicles to be zero-emission by 2035 and additional measures to eliminate harmful emissions from the transportation sector, according to a press release on 23 September on the official website of the State of California
