German government invests USD613 million in microelectronics
Project has been instrumental in the chip factory development of Bosch, Infineon, GlobalFoundries, Osram and ZEISS, and AP&S Laboratory
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) has invested around EUR522 million (USD613 million) in research, development, and implementation of new technologies in microelectronics in Germany since 2019, it said in a press release on 13 October.
