SsangYong receives permit to test Level 3 vehicle in South Korea
Second vehicle after its XLV-based autonomous vehicle to receive such permit from South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport
SsangYong Motor has received approval from the South Korean government to test a Level-3 automated vehicle on public road in the country, The Korea Herald reported on 30 November. The permit from the South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport will allow the South Korean carmaker to test its Korando model, equipped with the Level 3 system beginning December.
