Company acquires autonomous driving truck startup Ike

Nuro has received permit from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to deploy its autonomous vehicles on the state’s public roads, the company said in a blog today (24 December). The permit will allow the US-based autonomous delivery startup to operate commercially on California’s roads in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, near its headquarters in Bay Area. With this permit, Nuro will also be able to charge for its delivery services in California.
