European Commission approves acquisition of EKPO and EKAT
EC concluded that the proposed acquisitions would raise no competition concerns
The European Commission (EC) has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of Germany-based EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies (EKPO) by Germany-based ElringKlinger and Plastic Omnium New Energies, and the acquisition of sole control of Austria-based ElringKlinger Fuelcell Systems Austria (EKAT) by Plastic Omnium New Energies, according to a press release on 19 February.
