GAC unveils sponge silicon electrode technology on GAC Tech Day
The battery can charge an EV from 0% to 80% in 16 minutes.
GAC has a sponge silicon electrode technology on GAC Tech Day 2021, according to a company press release on 13 April. The company has put in “years of research” to develop and patent the “sponge silicon negative plate battery technology”. The battery makes the silicon negative sheet inside the battery as soft and elastic as sponge and allows larger storage capacity alongside reduced wear and tear from charging.
