Leoni's consolidated sales up 20% y/y to USD1.58 billion in Q1 2021
Sales increased y/y in Wiring Systems Division (WSD) and Wire & Cable Solutions (WCS) business divisions
Leoni has reported a 20% year-on-year (y/y) increase in consolidated sales to EUR1.35 billion (USD1.58 billion) for the first quarter of fiscal year 2021, according to a company press release on 12 May. EBIT before exceptional items as well as before VALUE 21 costs was, with earnings of EUR39 million, up substantially from the same quarter of the previous year (a loss of EUR17 million) thanks to a sales increase and operational improvements.
