General Motors collaborates with Controlled Thermal Resources to secure lithium

Under the collaboration, lithium will be mined from CTR’s Hell’s Kitchen situated at the Salton Sea Geothermal Field in California

General Motors has formed a strategic partnership with California-based renewable energy company Controlled Thermal Resources (CTR) to secure local and low-cost lithium, GM said in a press release on 2 July.
