Nissan, Waseda University jointly working on recycling process for EV motors
The testing has shown that the newly developed recycling process can recover 98% of the motors’ rare-earth elements or REEs
Japanese carmaker Nissan Motor Company and Tokyo-based Waseda University have commenced testing a jointly developed recycling process that efficiently recovers high-purity rare-earth compounds from electrified vehicle motor magnets, the company announced on 3 September.
