EU court adviser finds VW 'temperature window' software is broadly illegal
The case involves software that controls a valve that recirculates exhaust gases from the engine outlet
According to a Reuters press release dated 23 September, software used by Volkswagen AG to alter pollutant emissions based on temperature and altitude is illegal unless it prevents potentially dangerous sudden engine damage, an adviser to the EU's top court said on Thursday
