Volkswagen partners with Umicore, 24M and Vulcan Energy to develop battery value chain
The partnerships will provide the automaker next-generation battery processing technology and a consistent supply of cathode material and lithium hydroxide for its future EVs
German automaker Volkswagen announced via press release on 8 December that it had entered into strategic partnerships with materials group Umicore, battery specialist 24M Technologies, and cleantech company Vulcan Energy to develop its battery value chain.
