AOC, Zoltek, and Astar develop new carbon SMC for automotive structural parts
The stiff lightweight compound will be initially used to produce structural interior parts for electrified vehicles.
Global supplier of specialty resins and solutions AOC Resins announced via press release on 25 October that it had partnered with materials companies Zoltek and Astar to develop a new carbon-fiber sheet molding compound for application in structural automotive parts.
