Toyota to build USD1.29 billion battery production plant in North Carolina, US

The upcoming battery plant is expected to become operational in 2025, and will have four production lines, each capable of delivering enough Li-ion batteries to power 200,000 vehicles

Japanese carmaker Toyota announced on 6 December 2021 that the company has chosen Greensboro-Randolph megasite in North Carolina, US, for its planned USD1.29 billion automotive battery manufacturing plant.
