Northvolt partners with Galp to produce lithium hydroxide in Portugal
The new JV, Aurora, is expected to localize the European battery value chain, eliminating raw material supply risks associated with geopolitical issues
Swedish Li-ion battery manufacturer Northvolt announced via press release on 14th December that it had agreed to set up a joint venture, ‘Aurora’, with energy company Galp to develop a sustainable integrated lithium conversion plant in Portugal.
