Lanxess and Kautex Textron develop new plastic HV battery housing

The new housing has advantages in weight, functional integration, and mass production over traditional metal housings

German specialty chemicals company Lanxess announced via press release on 30 November that it had collaborated with automotive parts supplier Kautex Textron GmbH & Co. KG to develop a new thermoplastic battery housing for electric vehicles (EVs).
