AIMPLAS partners with the Valencian Regional Government to develop thermoplastic battery casings
The new casings will not decrease the weight of an electric vehicle but will also be adaptable to sustainable material supply chains.
Spanish plastics technology center AIMPLAS announced via a blog post on 7 January that it would be developing the VETERIA21 project as a collaboration between the Valencian Regional Government’s Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science, and Digital Society and AIMPLAS to optimize the transformation processes of thermoplastic composites for the materials to replace metal in electric vehicle (EV) battery casings.
