New innovative HMDA material helps accelerate sustainable adoption of widely used coatings, apparel, adhesives, and plastics

Covestro and Genomatica are collaborating to develop an advanced sustainable plant-based version of the chemical raw material HMDA (hexamethylene diamine), the company announced in a press release on 19 January. The partnership between the two companies marks the first successful production of carbon-free HMDA.
