Malaysian government plans to set up 10,000 EV charging stations by 2025
The government announced subsidies to consumers, along with vehicle and component manufacturers, to accelerate EV adoption
According to a press release by Bernama on 16 March, the Malaysian Government plans to install 10,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations by 2025 under the Low Carbon Mobility Development Plan 2021-2030 (LCMB). The initiative was revealed by the deputy minister of international trade and industry Datuk Lim Ban Hong.
