Samsung SDI and Ascend enter into patent licensing agreement for battery additives
The patent deals with the application of an additive that significantly improves the life, safety, and performance of a Li-ion battery
US materials company Ascend Performance Materials announced via press release on 17 March that it had reached an agreement with Korean battery company Samsung SDI to end their ongoing global patent invalidation proceedings and enter into a patent license agreement regarding the sale and use of lithium-ion battery additives.
