Stellantis, LG Energy to invest over USD3.97 billion in setting up a Li-ion battery plant in Canada
The EV battery plant will be built in Ontario and will have an annual production capacity of over 45 GWh
Amsterdam-based Stellantis N.V. and South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solution (LGES) have signed a binding, definitive agreements to set up the first large-scale EV battery manufacturing facility in Canada, LG Energy confirmed through an official note on 23 March 2022.
