Hydro to invest USD33 million to upgrade Karmøy low-carbon aluminum plant

The plant uses hydropower to reduce the carbon footprint of the aluminum supplied to downstream consumers.

Norwegian aluminum and renewable energy company Hydro announced via press release on 19 May that it will investing NOK320 million (USD33 million) to upgrade its Karmøy aluminum smelter that runs on hydropower.
