Spanish government to help fund ArcelorMittal’s USD1.1 billion Gijón green steel plant
The new Spanish plant will be equipped with a 1.1-million-ton electric arc furnace and a 2.3-million-ton DRI unit.
Steel manufacturing company ArcelorMittal announced via press release on 1 June that the government of Spain had pledged to financially support its plans to decarbonize its sites in the country.
