Nidec plans to centralize chip procurement amid supply shortage
Chip shortages may persist and are forcing companies to implement more aggressive measures to ensure continuous supply
Nidec Corp, a producer of electric motors has announced that it would consolidate group semiconductor acquisitions under a single procurement unit to deepen connections with chip suppliers and ensure it could obtain crucial components despite supply disruptions, according to a report published by Reuters on 7 June 2022.
