Marelli develops a new 800V silicon carbide (SiC) inverter platform
The new inverter platform can extract more energy from the battery at a higher efficiency, delivering a significant increase in the driving range of the EV
Leading global automotive supplier of powertrain, thermal, and lighting components, Marelli, has developed a new platform of 800 Volt Silicon Carbide (SiC) inverters, the company announced on 7 July 2022. It said that the new 800V SiC inverter ensures improvements in terms of size, weight, and efficiency, which is a critical parameter for powertrain in electric vehicles.
