Panasonic looks to improve battery energy density by a fifth by 2030
The improved battery energy density, if achieved, could boost the driving range of a Tesla Model Y by over 100 km with the same battery pack
Japanese battery maker Panasonic Energy Company is working on a new technology that could improve the battery energy density by a fifth by 2030, a news report published by Reuters on 13 July 2022 said, citing an interview with Panasonic’s CTO Shoichiro Watanabe.
