The investment will allow annual billet supply to consumer OEMs to increase by 202,000 tons by 2025

Anglo-Australian mining company Rio Tinto announced via press release on 13 July that it was investing USD188 million to increase production capacity of low-carbon aluminium billets at its Alma smelter in Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec, Canada.
