Cygnet Texkimp introduces zero-degree filament winding solution for automotive applications
The solution is ideal for bending-sensitive parts such as structural side, front impact protection beams
Fiber handling and converting technology company Cygnet Texkimp has developed a method of winding composite fibers at a zero-degree angle to create curved and straight structural parts with increased mechanical strength while using the least amount of fiber, CompositesWorld reported on 19 July.
