Gestamp to manufacture car parts using ArcelorMittal’s XCarb green steel
The XCarb substrate used to make the steel parts have a 70% lower carbon footprint compared with regular steel
Global steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal announced via press release on 21 July that the company had, in partnership with Spanish parts manufacturing company, successfully trialed the application of its low-carbon emissions steel in car parts.
