Teck Resources, PolyMet form USD170-million JV to mine nickel and copper in Minnesota, US

The new JV will jointly develop the NorthMet and Mesaba mines that hold measured and indicated copper-nickel resources of 795 million metric tons and 1,740 million metric tons, respectively.

US mining company PolyMet announced via a press release on 20 July that it had entered into an agreement with mining exploration services company Teck America to form a 50:50 joint venture, NewRange Copper Nickel LLC, to place their respective NorthMet and Mesaba resources under single management.
