VisIC partners with hofer powertrain to develop new GaN-based traction inverter

The inverter boasts of optimal switching speed, is smaller, and with a lighter package size, thus reducing total system cost

VisIC has collaborated with hofer powertrain to develop a traction inverter using its Gallium Nitride Chip Technology, D3GaN (Direct Drive D-Mode), it said in a press release on 11 August.
