GKN Automotive develops ‘real-time’ test rig for EVs
GKN’s EV-dedicated test rig can handle extreme dynamics and higher torque of electrified powertrains, which make conventional load test rigs unsuitable for driveline parts
UK-headquartered GKN Automotive has developed a ‘real-time’ test rig that is capable of handling the unique requirements of electric vehicles, the company said on 17 August 2022, adding that the research and development (R&D) equipment can help in developing advanced and efficient EVs tailor-made to the requirements of the market.
