Kumho Petrochemical to invest USD2 billion to expand its eco-friendly vehicle materials business

The petrochemical company plans to develop materials such as bio-silica, carbon nanotubes, and engineering plastics for application in future vehicles

South Korean synthetic rubber manufacturer Kumho Petrochemical announced via press release on 6 June that it planned to invest USD4.8 billion over the next five years in new projects, with USD2 billion specifically for the development of new materials for the growing eco-friendly vehicle market.
