Indian government sanctions US$97.3 million to set up public fast-charging stations
The installations are expected to be completed by March 2024
In an official statement on March 28, the government of India announced that it has sanctioned 8 billion Indian rupees (about US$97.3 million) to public sector oil marketing companies Indian Oil (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) for setting up 7,432 public fast-charging stations across the country.
