National Highway Traffic Safety Administration proposes automatic emergency braking requirements for new vehicles
The technology would significantly reduce fatalities and injuries
The US Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that would require automatic emergency braking (AEB) and pedestrian AEB systems on passenger cars and light trucks, according to a press release dated May 31.
