BYD plans sodium-ion battery production base in Xuzhou, China

In an attempt to develop capacity for alternative lithium batteries, Chinese electric-vehicle maker BYD is planning to set up a joint venture with a local conglomerate to build sodium-ion battery production, a report in CnEVPost dated June 10 said.
