BYD plans to invest $620 million in Brazil to accelerate local production
The operation at the plants is likely to start in mid-2024 and generate over 5,000 jobs
Chinese automaker BYD said it will invest 3 billion reais (about $620.17 million) in a new industrial complex in northeastern Brazil with a goal to boost local production to offer more competitive prices, Reuters reported July 4.
