LG Energy signs new long-term purchase agreement with SQM for battery-grade lithium products
SQM has grown its lithium production capacity by more than three times in recent years
South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solution (LGES) has signed a new long-term purchase agreement with material developer SQM (Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A.), wherein the latter will supply over 100,000 metric tons of battery grade lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide during 2023-29 period, SQM announced on July 5.
