US electric-vehicle maker Tesla has officially launched its operations in Malaysia, as it joins several other EV manufacturers already active in the Southeast Asian country that has been drawing investments lately while competing with Thailand and Indonesia, according to a news report published by Nikkei Asia on July 20.
