Nexeon said it has developed an advanced silicon-based anode material that has the potential to catapult the energy density of lithium-ion cells by up to 50%

UK-based battery-materials startup Nexeon plans to supply its high-energy silicon-anode material to the Japanese battery-maker Panasonic Energy Co. Ltd. under a new agreement, the two companies said in a joint announcement July 25.
