Valeo increases India’s ultrasonic sensor manufacturing capacity to 7 million
The ultrasonic sensors are used for Park Assist and ADAS technology for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles
French automotive supplier Valeo has set up a second manufacturing line for Ultrasonic Sensors at its facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The company started its first production line at the plant in November 2021. This additional line will increase the total production capacity from 3 million units to 7 million units annually. The plant is equipped with a semi-automatic lean manufacturing line installed in a dust-free production environment, The Financial Express reported on July 28.
