UAW strike: Suppliers ask for price concessions from carmakers as strike hits finances
The suppliers are expected to quickly exhaust their little inventory, post which they will be forced to lay off or furlough workers during the strike
The ongoing UAW strike against the Detroit Three — General Motors, Ford Motor Co. and Stellantis — has hit the finances of the automotive suppliers, which were already grappling with a tight availability of finances and uncertainty, according to a news report published by Automotive News on September 21.
